10x Hoster (“we”, “us”) is based in Calgary, Alberta. This policy explains what we collect through 10xHoster.com and how we handle it.
What we collect
From the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, business name, the service you’re interested in, and your message.
From the onboarding intake: the above plus your business address and service areas, business phone, email and hours, brand details (colours, fonts, logo status, tagline), background and credentials (years in business, jobs completed, certifications, guarantees, reviews, testimonials), current offers, competitors you name, and technical details (domain, hosting preference, CRM and analytics email).
Automatically: the page you submitted from, your device and browser type, your IP address (used to limit spam), and a cookie that links your submission to your visit.
Only provide information you have the right to share. If you send us testimonials or details about other people, you confirm you have their permission.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote
- To design, build, and launch your website using the details you provide
- To manage projects and communicate with clients
- To send marketing emails only where you have given us express consent
- To protect our forms from spam and abuse
- To improve our website and services
Consent (CASL)
We ask for your consent before storing your details and contacting you, and we record the date and time you gave it. Marketing email is a separate, optional opt-in — we will not send you marketing unless you tick that box.
Replies about your own enquiry or project are not marketing and are sent under your request for us to get in touch.
Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe and our contact details. You can withdraw consent at any time by using that link or emailing contact@10xHoster.com; we action withdrawals promptly and at most within 10 business days.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers to run our forms, messaging, and hosting, and share only what those services need to operate. We may disclose information where required by law.
Security and retention
Submissions travel over an encrypted connection and are stored in our customer relationship system, which is access-controlled and available only to 10x Hoster. We hold no payment card details on this website. We take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law — typically for the life of the client relationship plus seven years for business records, and up to two years for enquiries that don’t become projects.
Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to the laws of those countries.
Your rights (PIPEDA / Alberta PIPA)
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent, or ask how we handle it — at any time, by emailing contact@10xHoster.com. We respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we’ll update this page and revise the date below.
